This collection mainly consists of newspaper clippings and photographs. There are also several letters and some miscellaneous items. These materials are related either to Maher's athletic efforts at Fortier and Loyola or to his life in the military.

This collection consists of several newspaper articles about the honorary degree conferred upon Huey P. Long, as well as an invitation and program for the ceremony itself.
Janet Mary Riley Papers
Janet Mary Riley was the first woman to hold a full-time law school faculty position in New Orleans and is credited with helping to change Louisiana law to make women equal partners in their marriages.
Lillian N. Dayries Papers
These papers, which were collected by Lillian N. Dayries, consist of material that relates to the history of the New Orleans Province of the Society of Jesus. They relate primarily to Fr. Sullivan, though there is also considerable material about Fr. Ruggeri and Loyola University. The material is dated roughly from 1900 to 1967, mainly from 1910 to 1954.
Louis J. Twomey, S.J. Papers
Father Twomey's papers, especially the correspondence, document this Jesuit's active involvement in the social apostolate. Also, they provide documentation about the Catholic Church's stance towards various social issues and about the recent history of New Orleans and the United States. Of particular value is material from the 1950s and 1960s concerning civil rights, labor-management relations, and communism.
Loyola University Athletics Collection
This is an artificial collection consisting of Loyola University New Orleans athletics programs, media guides, clippings, and other ephemera created to promote and support sport teams at Loyola University between the years of 1908 – 1992. Archery, basketball, baseball, boxing, football, golf, soccer, and tennis are represented as well as Hall of Fame awards and items detailing the discontinuation of intercollegiate sports in 1972.
